Cardinal Cottage is comfortable, spacious and inviting. It was updated in 2008, but still holds the charm of the original home. It has a completely remodeled kitchen, two bedrooms, one full bath, a den and a large living room, with central heat and air conditioning. When the queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room is used, Cardinal Cottage comfortably sleeps six people.
Rooms
Bedroom 1 - sleeps 1-2. This room has a queen bed, large closet, dresser and reading chair. All linens provided.
Bedroom 2 - sleeps 1-2. This room has twin beds, dresser, closet and reading chair. All linens provided.
*Pack-N-Play and/or roll away bed available for toddlers or small children upon request at no extra charge. Both bedrooms can accommodate either of these additional beds*
Bathroom - the large bathroom has a full bath and powerful shower, toilet, sink with vanity and full length mirror. All towels are provided. River towels are also available for use.
The Living Room - has a queen sized Lay-z-boy sleeper sofa, a loveseat and chair w/ottoman. Dish Network (*no movie ordering capabilities) and a DVD player. A phone is located in the living room for local calls. All linens for sleeper sofa provided.
The Den - This room has two reading chairs and games.
Kitchen - this room is fully stocked and features stainless steel appliances, stove, refrigerator, full size microwave and dishwasher. There is a generous table in this room that comfortably seats six.

Front Porch - The covered front porch offers cushioned rocking chairs and a swing for relaxing evenings watching hikers, cyclists and horse riders go right by the front door on the Virginia Creeper Trail. A full size gas grill is available for use on the back porch.
